I have finally taken the plunge and purchased a 125 motorbike. Well maybe! Its little more than a collection of bits that has sat in someone’s garage for the past eight years and not turned a wheel. Scruffy is probably an understatement. The list of issues is far too long to post in one go so I plan to present the issues as I progress.
First of all its a Honda CM125C from 1984.
So whats the plan? Well…..I wanted something to rebuild that was going to be an easy first project. I chose the Honda because a lot of the parts are still available from Honda and I rather like the look of it. There is plenty to polish and look after once restored.
I intend to progress in two distinct stages.
Stage 1 – get the bike back running and with an MOT so I can at least use it.
Stage 2 – replace the worst looking parts with some nice new or re-chromed bits to get it looking much nicer.
